U.S. Department of Labor federal overtime regulations
September 16th 2016 -

As many of you know, on December 1, 2016, new U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) federal overtime regulations will go into effect. Under the new regulations, the DOL has revised the minimum annual salary for most exempt employees from $23,660 (or $455 per week) to $47,476 (or $913 per week). We have received a number of questions from PGA Professionals and constituents related to the application and impact of these regulations in the golf industry and to PGA Professionals specifically. As a service to our members, we will be conducting a webinar on this topic, presented by Matt Keiser, the PGA's outside employment counsel.

The webinar will be conducted from 1-2 p.m. ET on Tuesday, Sept. 20. Professionals who register for the webinar will be able to submit questions in advance. Registration is limited, so register early by clicking on the link below.

For those PGA Professionals interested in learning more about this important industry topic, we encourage you to participate and are confident it will be a helpful, informative session. For those of you unable to participate in the live webinar, the session will be recorded and available on PGA.org. For additional background on this subject, we have previously made an in-depth Q&A available on PGA.org.
