Met PGA to Launch First PGA Hope Site in 2015
March 23rd 2015 - The Met PGA is proud to announce that we will be launching our first PGA Hope site at West Point GC this Spring with plans of rolling out to additional sites in 2016. PGA HOPE is a 5-8 week golf training program designed to deliver a new level of enjoyment through golf that enables our nation's heroes to once again be active and participate in a game that enhances their mental, social, physical, and emotional well-being.  For our program to be successful we will need the involvement of Met PGA Professionals in the teaching of the program.  David Windsor, PGA of the Adaptive Golf Academy will be leading an educational program on March 23rd from 9am– 4pm in the Met Section on Teaching Individuals with Disabilities at Westchester CC.  Those individuals interested in assisting with the PGA Hope Program will need to participate in the training as it will provide a comfortable first experience for military veterans and PGA Professionals participating in PGA HOPE. This training program is also a great opportunity for Professionals to be trained to teach all people with disabilities at their clubs. Please click here to register
