Lenox/NFP New York State Open 2017
July 25th 2017 -

Cameron Young of Sleepy Hollow CC, former Metropolitan Junior Golfer, is the first amateur to win the New York State Open!

Cameron, middle, with father David Young, right, and mother Barbera Young, left.

Cameron Young made history July 20th as the first amateur to win the New York State Open. After a tie with Chris DeForester, they went head to head in a playoff, Young winning on the second playoff hole on The Bethpage Black Course.

Because Young couldn't accept the prize being an amateur, DeForester was awarded the check by Lenox Advisors Inc. Congratulations to the DeForester family who is expecting a baby girl next month!
