The Met PGA's Goal

To be able to continue to grow our programs and to make a difference, we feel it is critical for us to raise $100,000.00 annually to benefit Junior Golf and our First Tee of Metropolitan New York.  There are many worthwhile fundraisers being conducted throughout the area, including the MGA’s Capital Campaign and the Long Island and Westchester Caddie Scholarship Programs.  Most of these important efforts are engineered by members of your club or course.

We believe our professionals can be leaders in fund-raising also, especially if it benefits Met PGA Junior programs.  Last year we had 17 professionals who helped produce almost $90,000.00 for junior golf.  Imagine if we were able to supplement that outstanding success with a commitment of 100 professionals working to raise $1,000.00 at their club or course.  You will see us update this goal throughout the year and hope eventually to get every professional involved in some way supporting our efforts, whether donating time, money, energy or expertise.  Promotion of these programs, including Ernst & Young’s support, our First Tee initiatives and our brand new instructional DVD will promote our brand and the value of the Met PGA Professional working to grow the game.
