| South Bay CC - June 8th-9th |
We are proud to announce the third and final event of our spring Future Series will be held June 8th-9th at South Bay CC. Many of you heard that Middle Bay CC in Oceaside, NY was devastated by hurricane Sandy and was forced to shut its doors. Since then, a new management company has saved the terrific golf course and will be reopenning the end of this month as a Semi-Private club, now named South Bay CC. We are excited to bring the Future Series to this great venue and celebrate its reopenning with an event that is sure to be special. Registration will open at 5pm today for the event.
Future Series events are open to Boys 12-18 with a handicap of 10 and under and girls 12-18 with a handicap of 15 and under. This event will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Click Here to register.

The Folds of Honor Foundation was founded in 2007 by Major Dan Rooney, a former F-16 pilot, golf course owner, and PGA Professional. Many of you probably are aware of Patriot Golf Day which is the flagship fundraiser for the Folds of Honor Foundation which is held on Labor Day weekend each year at participating golf courses. The Metropolitan Section has been at the forefront of fundraising efforts in the nation raising over $750,000 for Folds of Honor since its inception. The PGA Professionals of the Metropolitan Section also raise over $100,000 a year in support of our Junior Golf Association so that we may continue to provide low cost access to junior golfers and continue to grow the game of golf.
Now it is our turn to give back. We are launching our “Junior Golf Salute to Heroes” campaign to raise funds and awareness for the Folds of Honor Foundation by collecting donations for our Salute to Heroes golf shirt. All proceeds will directly benefit the Folds of Honor Foundation and help children of fallen heroes have the financial opportunity to pursue higher education.
We want to thank PUMA for supporting us in our fundrasing efforts!

Those of you who registered for the Drive, Chip & Putt Championship should have already received emails regarding your registration status. Please do not call the office requesting tee times. Special requests cannot be accommodated. Tee times will be emailed to participants 2 weeks prior to the event.
6/26- Eisenhower Park tee times will be in the afternoon
7/1- Patriot Hills tee times will be in the morning
7/1 - St. Andrew's tee times will be in the morning
7/11- Bethpage tee times will be in the afternoon
7/16-GlenArbor tee times will be in the morning

Congratulations to Michael Miranda and Kyra Cox who won the 2013 New York State Junior PGA Championship in Cooperstown, NY this past weekend. Congrats also goes out the our entire Metropolitan PGA JGA Team that finished in first place in the team competition. This is an annual invitational event that is comprised of four teams from each of the NY PGA Sections featuring their top golfers from the prior year Player of the Year standings.
