December 30th 2017 - Fields were up again this year and the level of competition on the PGA's Club Pro Tournament Series presented by GOLF ADVISOR was outstanding. As we have come to anticipate, the Met Section representation proved formidable with a number of high finishes in individual events and in total money won. There wasn't an event where we did not have at least one player in the top five.
The following Met PGA Members cashed checks in the individual events throughout December: Event #2 at the Dye Course saw Rob Corcoran finish T3, followed by Charlie Meola, Josh Rackley, and Zach Brady (T13). Ben Polland, Peter Ballo, and Rob Labritz also cashed checks at T16. In event #3 at The Ryder Course, Frank Bensel was our low finisher at T4. Frank was followed by round 1 co-leader Mike Diffley at T6. Colin Corrigan and Kyle Baehler were T15 and T22 respectively, while Josh Rackley and Nick Beddow were in the money at T26. Back at The Wanamaker Course for event #4, Anthony Aruta was low Met finisher at T4. Kyle Baehler and Andrew Shiflet also found the payout at T21. At event #5 back on The Dye Course, Rob Labritz was T5. Kyle Baehler was T8 and Kent St. Charles, Kyle Higgins, and Andrew Shiflet were all in the top 10. Mark Brown was T14 with Frank Bensel and Sean Hand making the money at T26. In the final event at The Ryder Course Kyle Higgins came up short in a playoff with former PGA Tour player Omar Uresti. Mike Midgette finished 3rd, followed by Rob Corcoran (T11), Anthony Aruta (T11), Pete Catanzaro (T18), Matt Noel (T26), Ryan Kalista (T26), and Mark Brown (T26).
